Get to know Laure

I’m Laure Detré, a passionate physiotherapist who graduated in 2022 with a specialization in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Alongside my work in private practice, I also work at AZ Herentals, where I mainly focus on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) screening and the rehabilitation of knee injuries. In addition, I support both athletes and non-athletes throughout injury rehabilitation, as well as during pre- and post-operative recovery.

I believe it is important to continuously develop my knowledge and stay up to date with the latest scientific evidence in my field. I aim to translate this knowledge into clinical practice as much as possible, ensuring that my treatments are always based on the most current insights.

In my free time, I also enjoy staying active. I have a passion for hiking in the mountains and enjoy challenging myself physically.

What I can do for you

First and foremost, I place great value on personal preferences and needs within a treatment. Together with you, I aim to set your personal goals and help you achieve them.

I personally support a more active approach, enabling you to work independently more quickly.

To achieve these goals as effectively as possible, I strive to maintain a well-founded, scientifically critical perspective within the field. I do this through regular professional training and by keeping up with scientific literature.

I also have experience guiding pre- and postoperative rehabilitation programs in orthopedics and outpatient care.

Physiotherapy

Treatment of traumatic and chronic conditions affecting muscles, tendons, bones, ligaments, and joints.

Pre- and postoperative rehabilitation

Rehabilitation before and after a surgical procedure on the musculoskeletal system.

Sports physiotherapy

Treatment or prevention of injuries for both recreational and competitive athletes, tailored to the athlete’s level and the sport they practice.

Manual therapy

Treatment of movement disorders related to the joints, spine, and/or pain during movement using gentle techniques and manipulations.

BPPV

Treatment of short episodes of dizziness that occur with certain head movements.

Completed education and qualifications

I obtained my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy. Since then, I have regularly pursued further training to refine my knowledge and clinical skills.
